When London was changed into a lake at the foot of great mountains

Just an optical illusion. But so impressive and disturbing!

I haven’t been able to take any good photo for the obvious reason: I was driving my car on the motorway this afternoon, towards London, when I glanced a 180 degree view of the landscape that left me speechless.

Low, huge clouds were shaping the horizon, as if there were great mountains out there. It reminded me of the highway that takes you from Milan to the Malpensa airport, when you have the impression you’re driving to the mountains.

And even more surrealistic, when London approached, it appeared as a giant lake, from which emerged the few skyscrapers from the City.

It was gorgeous but… was that pollution???
