The Friday photo – Squashes and pumpkins on an Uzbek market

To finish every week travel-inspired, I tell you every Friday about one of the photos of my blog’s header.

This week, I’ve selected a photo taken in September 2012 in Fergana, Uzbekistan’s Eastern land which is considered the garden of the country because it is a green valley as opposed to the rest of the country which is quite dry and desert.

When travelling, I love to visit markets to take photos and I’ve got plenty of good shots from Uzbek markets, the most stunning one probably being this one given the impressive amount of squashes and pumpkins, and the fact that the family was sitting on them, chilling and having a laugh!
