The Friday photo – Natural beauty Vs concrete horror in Albania

To finish every week travel-inspired, I tell you every Friday about one of the photos of my blog’s header.

This week, I’ve selected a photo taken in May 2015 on the coastline of Albania, near Vlora.

You can see a gorgeous landscape viewed from the mountains, but spoiled by old, emaciated, graceless concrete.

Too many landscapes in the world are suffering from the human beings’ architectural pollution and the Albanian coastline is no exception unfortunately. But beyond the horrible concrete; what a beautiful country!

Want to know more about Albania! Come with me and climb the old dictator’s pyramid in capital city Tirana!

  1. Couldn’t agree more! My hubby is Albanian-Canadian (now we live in Seoul, South Korea), but we’ve been back to Albania to visit his family a few times. The overbuilding, but lack of completion, on the southern coast is a real shame. Such beautiful water!!
