This week, Ailsa’s photo challenge theme is Energy.
My first association to this theme was Armenia – a country where I travelled and was confronted with many surprising manifestations of energy storage and transportation.
The photo I have chosen is that of a very old petrol station. Like so many things in the Armenian country side, it looks abandoned, as if none had been around since the Soviet left – and yet this was a real working petrol station where we stopped on our way from Goris to Erevan.
The dispenser you see on the photo was not working anymore though, and the employee came to service us with a jerry can of petrol.
